Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG was founded in late 1939 by Oerlikon, Switzerland's leading arms manufacturer, to manufacture aircraft for the Swiss domestic market, and in particular the air force, the Flugwaffe. The first PC-9 was officially rolled out at Stans, Switzerland, on 9 May 1984, having flown two days earlier, and was registered HB-HPA. While an evolutionary development of the PC-7, the PC-9 has little structural commonality with its predecessor.
Seagull introduces the PC-9 120 ARF, a superb scale replica of the trainer used by the militaries of various countries worldwide. The top-quality, lightweight balsa/plywood construction is covered in genuine Hangar 9 UltraCote for easy repairs. The fiberglass cowl comes factory painted for added realism with easy installation. Mechanical retracts are included to add to the level of realism. Perfect for intermediate to advanced pilots, the PC-9 is a scale beauty.
