The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress (B-17 Flying Fortress) is the first production American all-metal heavy four-engine bomber.
The aircraft began to be designed in 1934 as part of a competition to create a coastal bomber operating against ships. A year later, a prototype of the Model 299 was created, the first flight of which took place on July 28 of the same year. Boeing factories developed and produced the B-17 Flying Fortress for the U.S. Air Force exactly 12 months later. In total, the factories produced 6981 B-17 bombers of various modifications.
The radio-controlled model B-17 is made of durable and ductile material EPO, which provides impact resistance and durability of the model. This material allows the aircraft to make high-speed flights. The B-17 is equipped with four brushless 850KV Outrunner engines - like a real aircraft.
