The well known DLE-55 has proven itself the world over as a solid power plant for large scale r/c planes.
Rear mounted carburettor and large transfer ports make this a beefy power plant able to deliver over 5HP and reach over 9,000rpm.

This is the real and genuine DLE-55 - beware of fakes and upgraded DL50s. Beware of cheaper fakes and motors bought from Chinese clearing houses that don't offer warrantees - they are out there.

The key main difference are:
50 ( DL50 ) to 55 ( DLE55 )
5.2 ( DL50 ) to 5.5hp ( DLE55 )
1350g ( DL50 ) to 1310g ( DLE55 )

The bolts used on the DL50 / DL55 are all 5mm metric sizes.
Mounting bolt pattern is 80mm wide and 67mm high (centre to centre)

Distance from back of mounting lugs to face of prop hub is 102mm, and the supplied standoffs are 68mm
Total length of motor from back face of stock standoffs to front face of prop hub is 170mm

The DL-50 and DL55 share the same prop hub and muffler mounting dimensions as the popular DA-50R
