The Hyperion YAK-54 40e thrives with 3D Maneuvers as well as high-speed, Big Sky Aerobatics. A complete balsa built-up airframe that was laid out for an electric driveline right from conception warrants light weight and excellent handling.

Unusual for a model in this size range, the tail group is fully airfoiled. Main wings plug in over a carbon tube and the tall landing gear allows 16 inch props. With the Hyperion Z4020-14 motor you have a choice of using either 4S or 5S lipos.

This ARF goes together quickly and will reward you with an extremely wide performance envelope for many fun hours at the field.



In order to please the 3D enthusiasts, Hyperion designers increased the aileron, elevator, and rudder surface area, while staying very near the original outlines of the whole flying surface.

In terms of size, the YAK-40 "40e" can be related to "Engine 40" class models, but the little "e" means it is 100% electric. Designed from the "ground up" around the extremely powerful Hyperion Z4020-14 motor, you have to experience the performance yourself to believe it.
