Now includes Software and USB cableHeliCommand RIGIDApplications
These systems are designed to make it easier for the hobby modeller to control model helicopters. The HeliCommand 3A, 3D and Rigid are not suitable for use in built-up areas, in the vicinity of buildings or above roofs. The device is also not intended for use in manned aircraft and / or for military applications. Contraventions of this rule are rigorously prohibited, constitute an infringement of licence, and will be pursued by legal action. The HeliCommand Profi is designed for use in particularly high-quality model helicopters and industrial machines, as well as for commercial applications such as filming, photography and surveying etc.
Another variant is the HeliCommand “RIGID”. In addition to all the functions of the HeliCommand 3A and 3D, this version includes stabilisation for helicopters which do not feature a mechanical flybar. For example, scale helicopters, or models with multi-blade rotor heads. This special attitude-holding stabilisation reliably prevents the characteristic tendency of “flybar-less” rotor heads to balloon up abruptly, and brings a marked improvement in the helicopter’s inherent stability in gusty conditions. Model helicopters with a rigid head are more manoeuvrable, require fewer parts and less motor energy. The HeliCommand “RIGID” represents a broad field for experimentation in this area. This variant also includes servo travel linearisation, which compensates for the angular offsets inherent in the H4 linkage.
To make use of these supplementary features the display module or the PC connection set is required, as for the HeliCommand 3D. It is also possible to upgrade the basic HeliCommand versions (3A or 3D) to HeliCommand RIGID specification at any time by upgrading the system software; this work must be carried out by the manufacturer’s Service Department.
