We've put together an awesome combo that gives you a T-Rex 500E Super Combo and all the other bits you need to get started.
For only $1249.00 you get EVERYTHING listed here:
Since this combo is aimed at beginners, we can even solder the Deans battery plugs on for you if you don't have a soldering iron at home.
This combo kit is incredible value. There's never been a better time to get in to a large model helicopter for such a sharp price.
The right tools make the building job easier and can give you a better end result. Here's a few we recommend for the job:
- The Align Hex/Allen Screwdriver Combo Pack contains all the sizes of driver you'll need to build any of the T-Rex's, 450 to 700.
- Ball Link Pliers make unclipping ball links easier. Beats using your fingernails that's for sure.
- A Pitch Gauge is essential. It allows you to read your main blade pitch angle and makes levelling your flybar paddles easy. Both are important to get right if you want your helicopter to fly smoothly
- A hot Soldering Iron makes soldering much easier. Doing a tidier job, being able to work with larger gauge wire, and less chance of burning your fingers are just some of the reasons a good soldering iron is invaluable
- Using Phoenix R/C Flight Simulator with your new DX6i transmitter will reduce the amount of time it takes you to learn to fly. By learning to fly on the simulator first you WILL reduce the number of times you crash your actual model. Phoenix RC Sim will save you time and money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
- A Swashplate levelling tool is great to have when setting up and maintaining your helis. With this tool you can make sure your swash plate is level at the bottom/middle/top of its travel. Using this tool will help ensure your heli doesn't veer off in one direction when moving your collective up and down.
- Get More Power or Longer Flights with these batteries from Flight Power and DN Power.
- We've all seen what happens when the blades hit the deck. Trainer skids help stop the helicopter from rolling over preventing the blades from contacting the ground on those hard landings when you're learning.
- Make sure your measurements are accurate with these Digital Vernier Callipers
